Ingredients
1 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup tamarind pulp
1 tsp fresh ground ginger
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp corn starch
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp black pepper

Preparation
- Bring 1/2 cup water to a boil
- Stir in tamarind pulp using a wooden spoon
- Cook on medium heat until the mixture begins to form a paste. Stir in ginger, garlic, lemon juice and worcestershire sauce.
- Pour in 1 cup of water then stir in salt, pepper and corn starch
- Lower heat and let simmer until sauce begins to thicken
- Remove from heat and let sauce cool for about 15 minutes
- Place sieve over a bowl and pour mixture through the sieve. Press the liquid through with the back of a spoon. Discard any seeds and fibers left in the sieve.
Yields about 1 cup
